In the period from 1st to 4th of October, tourist agency Epoca360 (the new brand of Epoca turizam) in association with Wellbe and Mrs Annica Gilbertsson, from EnergyManagement, organised a successful and colourful team building exercise for 15 members of Arkatay Company. It took place in a cosy workshop room above Novigrad’s library just few steps from the sea and the group enjoyed a short walk every day by the sea when having a lunch break in the hotel.
After sorting out all the formalities, the group began their journey with a welcome drink in the small picturesque family hotel Torci18 situated behind the ancient city walls of Novigrad.
After tasting the excellent pink sparkling wine in the nice company of Luana from the agency they went on short walk to the harbor were the wooden boat was already in place for boarding. The whole group enjoyed a beautiful panoramic ride and a dinner based on fish menu. It was nice relaxation before the next morning’s start with a very busy working schedule of team building.
On the second day in the afternoon Annica held her Energy Management workshop which certainly was very successful. We all hope to get opportunity to be part of it again in near future :)
The third day was reserved for a unique experience, of course after accomplishing the working part and lunch. The group went to inland Istria, to the habitat of the precious fungus (better to say fungus) and to meet with very particular participants of Truffle hunting demonstration event: two dogs in company of their owner, the master truffle hunter.
For most of us it was a first touch of the magic of truffles which was followed with visit to the enchanting village of Grožnjan on the top of a hill.
After an hour and a half of wandering through amazing streets of the medieval town of Grožnjan full of artistic galleries, the group met at a dinner in typical Istrian tavern were they tasted truffles.
The last day of their stay in Novigrad, even though it was Sunday, they spent in the working spirit. To be more precise, half a day because it was time for lunch again but this time on the way back home, the bus stopped in Malo Selo, a small village with another beautiful tavern “in the middle of nowhere” famous for fantastic food based on mushrooms and truffles.
After a being hosted by very friendly staff in the tavern Malo Selo, the time came for the group to step back onto the bus and go to the airport and return to their homes in Sweden.
