How better to mark your birthday than a celebration tailored to you. Whatever you want, however long you want it, at epoca360, we’ll create you the best possible package for your budget!

And we’re full of good ideas. Love food – how about a gastronomic weekend? Love wine – how about a winery tour? A bit of both – a wonderful day touring and tasting local delicacies, followed by a magical evening with live music in a rural hill-top town or close to the sea.

Alternatively, why not have your birthday on a boat or in a lighthouse? Or have a ‘music escape’: come for a music festival by the sea, concerts under the stars or attend one of our excellent nightclubs with leading guest DJs.

Fancy an action weekend? You can go rock climbing, tandem parachuting, paragliding, zip-lining across gorges or pot-holing and so much more?
Sounds exhausting? Let’s slow things down with hot air-ballooning, a romantic evening sail or champagne tasting...

"I was delighted with the party Epoca360 organize for me. It was exactly what I had hoped for. Everyone had a wonderful time, and some of my guests were so impressed they have come back on holiday many times; several have even bought holiday homes here!."
Patrik's Birthday

Throughout our lives, there are many highlights we want to mark with a celebration. At Epoca360, the first we organised was for a Swedish 50th birthday in 2008 and it’s a great example of a ‘discovery’ weekend.

Patrik and Maria have a holiday home in Istria and, to celebrate his 50th birthday, Patrik wanted to introduce his friends to Istria – a region he had come to love and which many of them knew nothing about. With 60 guests, obviously their house was too small, so we booked out two boutique hotels in Novigrad for them, Torci 18 and Santa Marija, and set up a weekend of exploration.

After a Friday night welcome drink and get-together, it was all aboard the bus on Saturday morning to start the tour, which began with ‘tasting’ rather than ‘sightseeing’. First up was a visit to a Boškarin farm, to see Istria’s unique cattle and sample some local produce. Plenty of rakija (Croatia’s local grappa, which comes in many flavours) was consumed, so the party spirit was already running high when we headed off for lunch.

Istria is famous for its truffles – and the place for truffles is Malo Selo which, of course, is where we had lunch. After far too much good food and wine, it was time for a walk. So, in the afternoon, we headed back to Novigrad for a guided walking and sailing tour around the beautiful old town. Back on land, the tasting started up again, with a visit to Torci 18’s award-winning olive oil facility.

Sunday started with sightseeing in Grožnjan and Motovun, hilltop villages which are two of Istria’s inland gems. Then we descended underground to the Baredine Caves, before finishing the afternoon wine tasting. Suitably ‘fortified’, everyone headed back for dinner in one of Novigrad’s leading fish restaurants: dining al-fresco on a terrace, overlooking the sea.

As Patrik’s party was such a success, when it was his wife’s turn, Maria wanted to have her own Istrian celebration too.
